About NGIC

National Graphene Innovation Center (NGIC) was approved to be established in November 2022. NGIC relies on Ningbo Graphene Innovation Center Co., Ltd., which is jointly funded by 30 core members, including Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering（Chinese Academy of Sciences）, the top enterprises in graphene industry, upstream and downstream enterprises in graphene industry chain, state-owned capital, social capital, etc. It is located in Zhenhai District, Ningbo, Zhejiang. NGIC adopts the form of “Company plus Alliance”, relying on China Innovation Alliance of the Graphene Industry (CGIA). CGIA has more than 140 members in China and abroad, covering the majority of enterprises and organizations in graphene research and industrialization.

In November 2022, the National Graphene Innovation Center was approved for establishment.
In September 2022, the National Graphene Innovation Center construction plan was reviewed and ratified by the experts, and the Graphene Innovation Center Joint Party Branch was established.
In July 2022, the construction plan of the National Graphene Innovation Center was reviewed and ratified by the experts, and the Graphene Innovation Center Joint Party Branch was established.
In October 2021, it received a 30 million investment from Ningbo East New City Development Investment Group Co., Ltd.
In June 2021, Zhejiang Provincial Graphene Manufacturing Innovation Center passed the acceptance evaluation.
In April 2019, the first industrial project "Graphene-based Metal Air Batteries" technology was transferred and transformed, and Ningbo Xinde New Energy Co., Ltd. was jointly established with China Aluminum Group.
In December 2018, it completed over 20 project approvals.
In July 2018, the Graphene Theme Hall was completed and opened, with a 30,000 square meter R&D site.
In May 2018, it relocated to Ningbo New Material Entrepreneurship Industrial Park and recruited more than 150 talents.
In December 2017, Ningbo Graphene Innovation Center Co., Ltd. was registered and established.
In September 2017, Zhejiang Provincial Graphene Manufacturing Innovation Center was officially established.
In December 2015, Zhejiang Provincial Graphene Manufacturing Innovation Center began preparation.
